Title: The Dragons' Journey
Notes:
Here is my story:
A Gentle Ogre and his band of magical self-transforming tiny dragons entertain throuhout the countryside traveling from town to town. Suddenly their good times end one day when a mysterious stormy wind takes the dragons'powers away and could not fly any longer. The tiny dragons realize that only in their native forest can they regain their magical powers. Here we see the Ogre lying, deeply saddened by the departure of his weakened friends and that is consoled by one of them.

Title: Last touches
Notes:
Final touches to the sky and background. Detailed the field and raised its saturation. Changed dragons position again and added some stuff such as lanterns and fungi.

Title: Starting the journey
Notes:
Here is another update. I've placed the dragons, changed tones in the sky (more blue+cyan) and continue detailing the ground. Bye for now.

Title: Detailing ground and sky
Notes:
Hi! I've finally had time to laying in some details to the ground. Refined the trees, house, ogre and colored foreground dragon. Also resized the forest to give more sense of depth, changed its color and reduced the opacity to 25% on the left, this took far longer it should have..but I'm pleased with the result. The cloudy sky is new in the scene and not finished yet. I tried the atmosphere to be dramatic, don't know if it's day or night.
Next update I'll start populating the scene with background dragons.

Close view from the right tree I'm painting. The general shape is different from the original sketch but I like how it looks.

Title: Coloring the ogre
Notes:
Close up from the ogre and one of the little dragons. They were cropped of the line art . The dragon has no color as you

can see, I just worked on the light/shadows with the smudge tool and a few brushes in grey tones. I didn't choose a color

for the dragons yet. They are five in scene: two in the foreground, one in air (middle distance) and other two are moving

ahead on the hill. I think start painting the landscape will help me to pick a color out for those creatures...
The ogre was painted in 20 layers, flattened them and, I'll continue painting on the resulting layer.

... hope I had explained myself clearly enough...
